Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

ARE YOU CATHOLIC IN NEED OF FIRST COMMUNION OR CONFIRMATION?

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) - formerly RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), is the process by which people who are interested in learning about the Catholic Faith can attend classes and have the opportunity to become members of the Catholic Church.

OCIA is for adults who:

• Have never been baptized
• Have been baptized in another Christian faith and are interested in the Catholic faith.
• Are baptized Catholics who have not yet received the Sacraments of First Communion or Confirmation.

OCIA is a spiritual formation process beginning in early Fall and ending with initiation into the Church at the Easter Vigil. If you are interested in attending our OCIA classes, please contact the Parish Rectory: 845-268-4464.
